SportiX Pro

Innovation meets simplicity

The "SportiX Pro" system is the latest generation of our foot launch aircrafts. This system is compatible with all common engines and offers a large selection of harnesses and rescue systems. The overall concept forms a symbiosis of sportiness with a good wing feeling and a high degree of safety. Already during the construction, care was taken to be able to disassemble the aircraft into space-saving individual components without tools. That is the reason, why the SportiX Pro system is the perfect travel companion.

This small engine is one of the quietest paramotor engine on the market. The very smooth engine running and the pleasant noise level guarantee a relaxed flight experience. The handling of this engine is extremely comfortable. The light weight of the engine makes it the perfect foot starting unit.

Exhaust

With the Atom80, the exhaust is a real eye-catcher. The minimalist appearance of the exhaust system reveals little about its complex design. But the low noise level and the even power delivery speak for themselves.

Transmission

The Atom80 has a low-maintenance gear transmission. The fully enclosed gearbox / clutch unit ensures efficient power transmission to the propeller.

Cooling

The air generated by the radiator fan is directed over the cylinder using the shapely air scoop. This engine is thermally stable even at higher outside temperatures.

Walbro carburetor

The Walbro carburetor is a membrane carburetor. The advantage for the experienced aviator is the possibility to fine tune the mixture depending on the altitude of the take-off site very easily. The fuel pump is integrated in the carburetor and the small size saves weight. The position of the carburetor is independent and therefore it cannot overflow. Trouble-free operation is guaranteed even during extreme flight maneuvers.

1,25m propeller

The 1.25 m propeller from Helix Carbon, perfectly matched to the engine, is made of unbreakable, carbon fiber and meets the highest safety standards. Compared to other propeller manufacturers, the Helix Carbon propellers are particularly characterized by their smooth running and the much more efficient blade profile.

The Moster is a real powerhouse. It convinces with its minimalist design, to which it owes its low weight. This engine is also suitable for trike operation. In addition to its clear, technical advantages, the Moster can also score in design.

Exhaust

The multi-part exhaust nestles elegantly around the engine. As with all two-stroke engines, this light, fully decoupled resonance exhaust is largely responsible for the power delivery. The carbon fiber rear silencer is a visual highlight

Flash starter

The hand starter milled from high-quality aluminum works according to the flash starter principle. The starter spring ensures a safe and comfortable engine start.

Electrical

The optionally available electric starter is particularly interesting for trike operation.

The fuel pump is integrated in the carburetor and the small size saves weight. The position of the carburetor is independent and therefore it cannot overflow. Trouble-free operation is guaranteed even during extreme flight maneuvers.

Propeller

The Moster has a propeller from Helix Carbon that has been specially designed for performance and cooling system. The propeller has a higher pitch and profile depth at the blade root, which supports the heat dissipation on the cylinder.

Cooling

The Moster is air-cooled. To support the air flow through the airstream, it has an air scoop made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, which uses the propeller suction.

Transmission

The reduction is ensured by the minimalist belt transmission. The upper pulley is used to tension the belt by means of easily accessible eccentrics. On the engine side, the clutch can be found behind the belt drive.

This ultra-modern two-stroke engine is characterized by its low power-to-weight ratio.  The powerful engine can also be relied on in continuous operation. The well-thought-out design relies on a liquid cooling system, which guarantees optimal heat dissipation from the combustion chamber. Especially during cruise flying, this engine impresses with its quiet engine running.

Airbox

The airbox is available on all Polini engines. It filters the air and dampens the intake noise extremely effectively.

Exhaust with Helmholtz

Typically for Polini engines, the resonance exhaust is specially designed for flight operations. A Helmholtz resonator developed by Fresh Breeze ensures even more performance. The exhaust is multi-part and connected by break-proof springs to decouple the vibrations from the exhaust. The shapely muffler reduces engine noise to a minimum.

Transmission

Due to its design, the fully enclosed gearbox is low-maintenance and almost wear-free. The reduction ratio of 2.8: 1 is designed so that the maximum engine efficiency is developed at 8000 rpm. The centrifugal clutch is integrated in the gearbox.

Cooler

The streamlined cooler supports the liquid cooling system in its work and guarantees thermal stability. This means that the engine temperature is optimal even for long climbing phases.

Fuel pump

A small, light fuel pump supplies the carburetor with fuel. The pump does not need any electricity at all because it takes advantage of the changing pressure conditions in the crankcase. This small feature enables the use of deep-lying tanks, which has a positive effect on the center of gravity of our aircraft.

Engine unit

In this configuration, the engine is designed for the "Pro SportiX" system. The entire periphery of the engine is taken up by the engine frame.

Electronics

A generator with a power of 80 W at 5500 rpm is installed in the engine and is supported by a battery. This electrical system enables advantages such as electrical starters, electricity for radio etc.

Carburetor

The slide carburetor prepares the mixture for optimal combustion. This carburetor concept entails a linear increase in power. With this carburetor, the pilot has very sensitive control over the engine.

This engine is particularly characterized by its smooth engine running.

The low-vibration running behavior protects pilot/man and machine when practicing paramotoring.

The particularly quiet running is achieved by a balance shaft that compensates the moving masses. The greatly reduced vibrations have a positive effect on the durability of all assemblies.

Flash starter

The flash starter, revised by Polini with a reinforced spring and housing, enables a comfortable engine start. The starter spring buffers the energy required for starting during the tightening process and releases it suddenly when the maximum is reached. As result, the engine starts immediately.

Cooling fan

Thermal stability is achieved by the cooling fan. The streamlined engine cowling directs the air flow, generated by the radial fan, through the cooling fins to the cylinder and cylinder head.

The Thor 190 EVO is the latest version of this engine. The initial teething troubles have been overcome and the engine runs more powerfull and reliable than ever. Due to its low weight and high performance, this engine is predestined for ambitious and sporty paramotor flying.

Exhaust

The exhaust is specially designed for this engine and entwines elegantly around the engine to avoid turbulence in front of the propeller. The multi-part construction is the result of many years of product care and guarantees durability and little maintenance.

Belt transmission

The lightweight belt transmission uses the reliable Poly-V belt technology. 2.83: 1 was selected as the reduction ratio, which means that the maximum power of the engine can be used. A centrifugal clutch is also used for the belt transmission.

Spark cooling

The "spark cooling system" (SCS) from Polini lowers the working temperature in the combustion chamber and thus prevents overheating. The exhaust gas temperature is also reduced.

The Thor 80 is the smallest and lightest engine in the Thor product family. Nevertheless, it doesn't have to hide in terms of performance. Its liquid cooling system achieves extremely high efficiency. This reliable engine is mainly used for foot launch and is also suitable for long climbing phases under full load.

Gearbox

Like all components of the Thor 80, lightweight components were also used for the gearbox. The gearbox is set as a separate unit in front of the engine. The mandatory centrifugal clutch is located between the two components.

Cooling system

The special thing about the Thor 80 is the liquid cooling system with an additional cooling fan. The big advantage is that a compact overall unit was created. The system does not rely on airstream to work efficiently. Overheating problems are unknown for this engine.

The fuel pump is integrated in the carburetor and the small size saves weight. The position of the carburetor is independent and therefore it cannot overflow. Trouble-free operation is guaranteed even during extreme flight maneuvers.

Suspension

The SportiX Pro suspension is completely redeveloped. This concept is based on the titanium rods, which are fastened to the frame quick and easy using the Quickpin. Their range of functions includes comfortable thrust initiation around the pilot and the carrying of the engine weight in flight. In the air, the smooth-running push rods offer a very good wing feeling, which also makes flying in bumpy weather conditions possible.

The geometry of the proven, swiveling rods was tested and perfected in extensive test series. The pilot benefits from the sensitive coordination of the various pivot points in every flight phase: during takeoff and landing, an upright position is taken, which gives the pilot a very safe feeling.

Propeller cage

The light propeller cage consists of 4 individual ready to use components. The advantages of this type of construction are obvious: The setup and dismantling is done in few simple steps without tools. In combination with the compact back frame and the removable push rods, the entire flight unit can be dismantled into the size of a trunk. The one ring cage (ORC) is available for foot launch operation (total weight 1,9 kg), for trike flying we recommend the reinforced double ring cage (total weight 3,3 kg). In the standard version, the one ring cage is available in orange, green and black.

Wingman standard harness

The Wingman standard harness weighs 3,1 kg. A side rescue container is integrated into this harness. The large storage pocket is located on the opposite. There are three different sizes. The high-quality AustriAlpin carabiners were installed for uncomplicated usage. The ergonomically designed back cushion lies tight at the pilots back and invites you for long flights. With numerous adjustment options, this harness is individually adapted to the pilot.

Wingman light harness

The Wingman Light harness weighs 2,3 kg. The very clear belt geometry allows you to put on the harness easier. Only two buckles are necessary to create the symbiosis pilot / aircraft. Special attention was given to its light weight. A rescue container and a side pocket were knowingly left out.

Torque effect

In order to counteract the engine torque, an asymmetrical wing suspension is used. One of the two push rods is bended outwards, which means that the center of gravity can be shifted to a desired side. In the neutral thrust range, this compensates the most of the disturbing torque effect.

Engine frame

The heart of the system is the motor frame. It is manufactured in lightweight aluminum and weighs in average only 4,2 kg. The light and robust aluminum construction holds the tank, the push rods and the engine. In addition to the use as footlaunch system, the SportiX Pro system also offers the option of mounting the engine on a trike.

Throttle handle

The ergonomically shaped throttle handle offers plenty of space for individuality. The basic task of the throttle handle is to affect the thrust but also to start / stop the engine or to take up control instruments. Depending on your preference, the throttle handle can be configured as a "standard" or "up-side-down" variant. The mandatory travel throttle function comes in all versions.

Tank

The tank is made of strong and lightweight polyamide and has a capacity of 11 l.

Tank 17 l

Optionally, the system can also be equipped with a 17l polyamide tank. In particular, cross-country pilots really appreciate this feature.
